Michigan Trip!!

Isaac did so well on the plane trips! On the way to Michigan he slept from Nashville to Chicago and was awake and alert from Chicago to South Bend. I however, had to truck it like an elderly woman mall walking in order to make our connection! On the way home, he slept from South Bend to Chicago, enjoyed a longer layover, and was awake almost the whole way home! He was quite the hit on the plane, especially with the ladies who were enjoying some adult beverages behind us. They would have pinched his cheeks if I'd let them! I'm grateful he did so well, and the hotslings carrier I bought came in so handy, I highly recommend them! We had a great time in Michigan. Though we were there for a whole week, it seemed to go so fast. The only thing I would change about the trip if I could have, would be to have had Mark there with us. It was really hard being away from him for so long. We spent our week traveling around to visit family and friends that Isaac had not met yet. Thanks Aunt Jenny for carting us around! We also had the chance to get together with almost the whole family at Nana and Papas for dinner! My choice...chicken & rice and chocolate cream pie for dessert...yum! Thanks mom! In the time we did have between visits and errands, Isaac got to know his cousins a bit better! Jack loved to make him laugh and really had him going in church on Sunday! Isaac really liked Emersyn, and she was so proud to be able to put him to sleep! And Makenna made sure that the diaper cream was readily available at every change, and also watched over him during car rides! Isaac is beginning to show a bit more personality, he was quite a fuss bucket for anyone but mommy for a while. But eventually he warmed up. As Aunt Jenny said, just don't make eye contact with him! He is also become picky about the way he his held...only facing out, thank you! He is so curious about the world around him now! Bryan & Christi came down Friday night and we celebrated Kyle's 8th birthday. It was great to have the whole family together on Saturday before we left. We were all at Jacks soccer game and then had time for a quick bbq and leftover cake! Jack did so well in his game, he can really move the ball around!! After lunch Jen, Shawn, and family took us to the airport. Saying goodbye was really hard to do, we had such a good time together. But once we got on the plane, I couldn't stop thinking about seeing Mark again. Walking out of the terminal into his arms was like the a scene from a movie, only wiht really bad actors and none of the glamour! A big thank you to everyone back home for making our visit a great one! Especially to Jen, Shawn, Jack, Eme, and Makenna, for sharing their home & hearts with us. Pictures from the last few days of our visit will come later...my camera died so we used A. Jenny's for the rest of the time!
